The Online Equivalent of the Power Pilates Reformer Intensives
The Power Pilates Online Reformer 1 Teacher Certification is an 18-module combined mat and Reformer teacher certification - the online delivery of the same curriculum taught in the Reformer Intensive 1 in-person program. The lineage is the same. The Classical standard is the same. The certification credential is the same.
The Reformer 1 Teacher Certification covers the full beginner Classical Reformer repertoire alongside the mat exercises that form its foundation - because in Classical Pilates, mat and apparatus training are not separate disciplines. A Classical Reformer class begins on a mat. The program reflects this structure across both its content and its two full class formats: Option 1 (Traditional Classical: Mat + Reformer) and Option 2 (All-On-Carriage).
Why This Program Requires Hands-on Reformer Practice
The Reformer is a mechanical apparatus. Spring tension, carriage weight, gear height, footbar position - these are physical variables you can't fully understand through video alone. Before you sit for your final examination, you'll complete 25 hours of hands-on Reformer practice per level - whether at a Power Pilates partner studio, your own studio, or another studio you have access to. This isn't optional enrichment. It's a requirement for your certificate - and the reason this credential means something.
The curriculum follows the Power Pilates pedagogical sequence across both blocks: stop-motion technique breakdowns before full-flow demonstrations, technique practice before full-class practice. You'll also attend weekly live study hall sessions with Teacher Trainers for Q&A, feedback, and discussion - the closest online equivalent to the guided learning that happens in the room during in-person intensives.
For existing Core Mat I (CM1) graduates, the mat block auto-completes at enrollment. Your prior training is recognized, Modules 5 through 8 are credited, and your enrollment price reflects the overlap. You move directly to the Reformer content at a $150 discount.
