Janelle is a dancer, educator, and certified Pilates instructor with more than 30 years of experience in the movement arts and fitness industries. She currently teaches Pilates mat, Reformer, and dance throughout the Seacoast region of Southern Maine and New Hampshire.

Janelle first trained in classical Pilates mat and apparatus while earning her BFA in Ballet at the University of Utah. She continued her Pilates studies in New York City, using the method as essential cross-training throughout her professional dance career. In 2008, she earned her Mat I certification at the Power Pilates headquarters in NYC. Soon after, Janelle became a senior barre instructor at Physique 57, where she taught wait-listed classes to celebrity clientele at the company's flagship Manhattan studios. After relocating to New England, she completed certification in Exhale Spa's Barre Method and taught weekly classes at Exhale's Boston Back Bay location.

Her passion for classical Pilates was reignited while preparing for a national dance company tour in 2017. She went on to complete her Mat II certification with Cheryl Turnquist in 2019 and her Advanced Mat certification in 2020. Janelle received her Reformer training through Balanced Body in Boston, and has completed several additional trainings for specialized-populations through Power Pilates in New York City.

Janelle remains inspired by the transformative benefits of Pilates, and credits the practice for her longevity and success as both a professional dancer and a mother of two. She is dedicated to helping clients build strength, mobility, and confidence through thoughtful movement.
