The Reformer Intensive I course covers the entire Classical beginner level repertoire of exercises on the Mat and the Reformer. Students will learn to teach the 18 beginner level mat exercises, be introduced to Power Pilates teaching tools, philosophy, and teaching formula as well as gain an understanding of the basics of anatomy needed to become a successful Pilates instructor. Every Power Pilates program builds upon the information learned during this training. Students will also be introduced to the most sought after of Pilates apparatus, the reformer. Students will learn to perform and teach beginner and intermediate level Classical reformer exercises, with an emphasis on safety. Reformer Intensive I is required to progress to the Reformer Intensive II. Students may also choose to enroll in the Full Comprehensive program at a discounted tuition upon completion of this program.

Christine NowickiChristine is a Teacher Trainer for Power Pilates (2012) and Xtend Barre (2010), Xtend Barre Director of Training U.S. as well as a Pilates teacher at her in-home studio in Holly Springs, NC. She has been teaching Power Pilates continuing education workshops since 2007, and has presented Pilates workshops professionally throughout NC along with Prenatal workshops for Xtend Barre. Christine has been honored to be on faculty with the American Dance Festival at Duke University where she has been teaching Pilates mat for the past three seasons.
Christine experienced her first Pilates mat class during the American College Dance Festival at Smith College in 1996. That memory has stuck with her throughout her dancing years and beyond. As a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a BFA in Dance and a BA in Education, she was able to pursue modern dance and teach elementary school for special needs children. Christine then received her MS in Child Development from East Carolina University (2001). After years of work as a Child Life Specialist at UNC Hospitals, she needed to come back to her roots of movement. She received her first comprehensive teacher training from PhysicalMind Institute (2003), and then her final comprehensive training with Power Pilates (2005).
She currently resides in Holly Springs, NC with an amazing husband and two energetic boys that allow her to live her dreams day to day.
Student Cancellations and Transfers: We understand that sometimes plans change. Refunds are not available for any Power Pilates programs. However, you can transfer to another program or hold a credit on file to use in the future if you are unable to attend your registered program and notify us before the first day of classes. An additional $150 change fee applies to all program changes, transfers, and cancellations, due when the new program is chosen.
Postponements by Power Pilates: Power Pilates reserves the right to postpone or reschedule any program or course at any time in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as war, riots, fire, flood, snowstorm, hurricane, typhoon, earthquake, lightning, explosion, financial limitations, strikes, lockouts, sickness, and acts of state or governmental action prohibiting or impeding Power Pilates from performing its respective obligations. Refunds are not available for any Power Pilates programs. Students will be notified and have the option of attending the alternate date, holding a credit on file, or enrolling in the same level of the Online Academy.
