This program teaches the beginner system exercises on the Mat, Reformer, High Chair, Cadillac, and Wall utilizing the beginner system teaching formula. Students will be required to demonstrate an understanding of all safety precautions and memorize skeletal and muscle system as it relates to Pilates.

A trailblazer in bringing authentic classical Pilates to China, Ying’s journey into Pilates began in 2004, immediately after earning a Master’s in Business Management from Massey University in New Zealand—following a decade-long career as an architect, where she refined an eye for structure, balance, and functional harmony that would later shape her approach to movement.Drawn to the rigor and philosophy of classical Pilates, she immersed herself in dedicated training, recognizing its alignment with the architectural principles of intentional design and efficiency. In 2011, she deepened her expertise and certified by Romana Pilates. That same year, she returned to Guangzhou with a clear mission: to introduce China to the uncompromised power of authentic classical Pilates.
True to her vision, Ying established China’s very first fully equipped classical Pilates studio, creating a space where excellence and authenticity thrived, building a vibrant community of practitioners. She was Romana's Pilates level 4 teacher trainer and hosted its certification programs and mentoring aspiring instructors.
Ying was drawn to Power Pilates by its comprehensive and rigorous teaching methodology--its art of teaching.
Complementing her Pilates mastery, Ying is also a certified Master Trainer in both Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis®. She honed these skills through intensive study and collaboration with Sebastian Plettenberg, a first-generation Gyrotonic master trainer, developing a distinct expertise that stands alongside her Pilates expertise.
For Ying, Pilates is an extension of her architectural roots: a practice that shapes bodies with intention, balances strength with grace, and transforms lives through intentional movement.

Student Cancellations and Transfers: We understand that sometimes plans change. Refunds are not available for any Power Pilates programs. However, you can transfer to another program or hold a credit on file to use in the future if you are unable to attend your registered program and notify us before the first day of classes. An additional $150 change fee applies to all program changes, transfers, and cancellations, due when the new program is chosen.
Postponements by Power Pilates: Power Pilates reserves the right to postpone or reschedule any program or course at any time in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as war, riots, fire, flood, snowstorm, hurricane, typhoon, earthquake, lightning, explosion, financial limitations, strikes, lockouts, sickness, and acts of state or governmental action prohibiting or impeding Power Pilates from performing its respective obligations. Refunds are not available for any Power Pilates programs. Students will be notified and have the option of attending the alternate date, holding a credit on file, or enrolling in the same level of the Online Academy.
